It is interesting to see that natally Flacco has Jupiter
conjunct his Sun in Capricorn by one degree and
Kaepernick has Pluto in Scorpio conjunct his Sun by
one degree. This ties into Joe having a tight knit
relationship with his very Italian (Jupiter) family. And

THE AGE OF AQUARIUS
THE AGE OF AQUARIUS May 27, 2010
Astrologers differ on the time that The Age of Aquarius actually begins, and I would like to air my thoughts on the subject. Many think it was ushered in with the Aquarius stellium in 1962. However, in 1934 there also was a stellium in Aquarius which I am very connected to, as it was in effect on my birthday, January 27th. There were five planets and the north node in the sign then.
On the positive side, Aquarius rules communication,
humanitarianism, freedom, equality, and a never ending quest for
knowledge. On the negative side, this quirky air sign and its ruler,
unusual Uranus can be rebellious, explosive, unstable, and
unpredictable. Uranus rules the natural 11th house of the zodiac, cutting edge technology, outer space, flying, electricity, and computers are all in its domain. So for the number of reasons I listed below, I feel that this stellium in Aquarius in 1934 could have been the beginning of the Age of Aquarius.
The terrible great world wide depression was bottoming out in the U.S. and reached a turning point in 1934 when unemployment decreased to a mere 22 %!!
There were horrible droughts then and dust storms in the US Midwest. The high winds (Uranus) picked up all of the valuable top soil and blew it east, clear to the Atlantic ocean. April 14 was called Black Sunday, as twenty of the worst dust storms within the Dust Bowl occurred. And on May 11 another strong 2-day dust storm removed massive amounts of Great Plains topsoil. 35 million acres of farmland were utterly destroyed and a further 225 million acres were in danger.
People were so down and out, they relied on soup kitchens to eat.
But getting back to the Uranian high winds, on April 12 the worlds largest ever recorded surface wind speed of 231 miles per hour was recorded on the summit of Mt. Washington NH. High winds resulted in a tornado in Osaka and Kyoto Japan which killed 1,660, injured 5,400, and destroys the rice harvest. A typhoon in Honshū, Japan killed 3,036 people, and destroyed the temple, schools, and other buildings in Osaka.
In some other parts of the world in 1934, ominous unstable and erratic political changes were occurring that would would cause the next world war. On August 2, Adolf Hitler becomes Führer (ultimate ruler) of Germany, as well as Chancellor. On August 8 the Wehrmacht swore personal oaths of loyalty to him, and earlier that year, all the police forces in Germany came under the command of Heinrich Himmler.
In Russia Stalin began his massacres, and in China Mao Tse-Tung spread the communist doctrine. On March 1, Manchuria becomes Manchukuo, following an invasion by the Japanese. Japan also renounced the Washington Naval Treaty of 1922 and the London Naval Treaty of 1930. One positive thing, maybe, was that The Soviet Union and Afghanistan joined the League of Nations that year.
In the world of technology, The term RADAR was coined in 1934. The Sikorsky S-42 Clipper first flew on March 30, 1934. It was called a flying boat and was the first of the great Pan American Airways aircraft that was the first true over the ocean transport.
Hitler opened the first freeway, the fabulous Autobahn in Germany, and under the direction German physicist Werner von Braun, the V-2 rocket was successfully launched, powered by ethanol and liquid oxygen. It was the first long range ballistic missile, capable of escaping the bounds of this earth and reaching outer space.
Philo Farnsworth gave the world the first public demonstration of a complete all-electronic television system at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. In the United States, the Communications Act of 1934 was passed by Congress. It established the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to regulate interstate, international, and maritime communications, with universal service stated as the goal. It stipulated that commercial television stations "operate in the public interest, convenience, and necessity"; the FCC then was charged with the responsibility of enforcing the act.
Universal Pictures releases the first film version of
Fannie Hurst's novel, 'Imitation of Life', starring Claudette Colbert
and Louise Beavers. It gives Beavers, usually featured in small roles as
a maid, her best screen role, and features the largest supporting role played by a black
person in a Hollywood film up till then. Its storyline is extremely daring for a 1934 film – part of it revolves around a young mulatto girl rejecting her mother and trying to "pass for white". It is the first Hollywood film to seriously deal with this subject.
That year, Bing Crosby recorded an appropriate Aquarian song . "Love thy Neighbor". But on the other hand, another Aquarian theme "Anything Goes" was a popular song written by the fabulous Cole Porter for his musical Anything Goes also.
Only half of U.S. homes had radios then, but In 1933, the country had elected a new president, and because he frequently spoke to the nation via radio, Franklin D. Roosevelt became known as the first "Radio President". His use of radio was so impressive that the editor of "Radio Guide" wrote a full-page editorial in the May 26, 1934 issue, praising Roosevelt and praising radio: "...Radio has given to the president a weapon such as no ruler has ever known. It enables him instantaneously to answer, overthrow and defeat any false statement concerning himself, his government or his plans... Radio is a servant of justice...taking knowledge everywhere." With the president so accessible thanks to his popular "Fireside Chats", people trusted radio to bring them information as well as encouragement. And encouragement was very much needed in 1934.
In his efforts to help the economy, Roosevelt did something radical
then..he confiscated all gold that was held by Americans for $20 an
ounce, and immediately raised its price to $35 and ounce and sent it all
to Fort Knox. He then set up public
works around the US, including bridges, roads and flood control
Dams in an attempt to put America back on it's feet.
Also that year, Actor Lionel Barrymore began what has become an annual tradition of the Golden Age of Radio – playing the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in dramatizations of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. Barrymore continued playing Scrooge on radio until shortly before his death in 1954. He also made a 78-RPM record album of the classic story, which later was released on LP. The famous Dionne quintuplets were born on May 28, 1934 and are the first quintuplets known to survive their infancy. They are the only female identical set of five ever recorded. The sisters were born just outside Callander, Ontario, Canada near the village of Corbeil. The Dionne girls were born two months premature, and lived for four months with their very poor family. But because of their unusual situation, they were made wards of the King for the next nine years.
The end of prohibition was enacted on December 5, 1933, with Saturn, Venus and the north node in Aquarius, giving the American people the freedom to drink as they pleased again! And in 1934, the FBI had considerable success reigning in the careers of the most notorious and rebellious out of control celebrity criminals such as John Dillinger, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, Pretty Boy Floyd and Baby Face Nelson
Finally, Robin Milner, who became a prominent British computer scientist was born on January 13,1934, when Mars, Saturn, Venus and the north node were in Aquarius. He was a programmer, and by 1995, he became the head of the Cambridge University Computer Laboratory. Milner is generally regarded to have made three major contributions to computer science. He developed one of the first tools for automated theorem proving, LCF. Along the way, the language he developed for the purpose ML, a functional programming language, which was the first language with polymorphic type inference and type-safe exception handling. In a very different area, Milner also developed a theoretical framework for analyzing concurrent systems, the Calculus of Communicating Systems (CCS), and its successor, the pi-calculus.
