We were all surprised to hear that Senator Ted Kennedy, the elder statesman of the most prominent Irish political family in America, has a cancerous brain tumor. 
However, it is clearly revealed in the U.S. chart I follow; the one for the signing of the Articles of Confederation. This is the suggested chart of deceased astrologer, David Solte. The date of the signing was November 5, 1777 - 12:46 P.M. – York Pennsylvania.
I have relocated the chart for Washington, D.C., which doesn’t change it any. Then I progressed it up to Saturday, May 17, to 8:15 A.M., the approximate time the Senator had his seizure, judging from the call that 911 received at 8:19 A.M. I have been watching transiting Uranus at 22 Pisces 01in the U.S. 1st house moving slowly forward to square progressed U.S. Mercury at 22 Gemini 21in the 4th house, and have wondered what unexpected news we would get, as that aspect manifested.
Well, now we know, as the Uranus (the seizure) experienced by Kennedy (a Pisces) connects to his Gemini processes; that is his speech, and other motor skills.
Kennedy’s progressed Moon is at 19 Gemini 16, less that a degree from his 6th house (health) cusp. So with that setup, transiting Mercury played its part in the incident as it moved up to 18 degrees of Gemini at that time to set it all off.
Also, on that day transiting Mars was at 4 Leo 14 and opposing his progressed Saturn (his chart ruler) at 4 Aquarius 44 in his 1st house. Besides that, transiting Saturn in his 8th house of life and death at 1 Virgo 52 is opposing his natal Sun at 2 Pisces 32, which makes me wonder if he will be able to work in the future.
Another ominous aspect is that the transiting Nodes at 23 Aquarius 03 and Leo respectively are conjoining his natal 2nd and 8th house cusps, with transiting Neptune (his Sun sign ruler) only a degree past it at 24 Aquarius 14. This ties into the U.S. T-square from its Sun at 23 Scorpio 46 to the ascendant and 7th house cusp, with Jupiter at 25 Leo 45 conjoining the 7th . Perhaps the afflicted planet in Leo refers to some hanky panky that was going on that tied into the suspicious accidental drowning death of Mary Jo Kopechne in 1969, which many think cost Kennedy the presidency in 1972. His Sun at 2 Pisces 32 (a water sign-drinking) squares the U.S. Moon at 2 Gemini 45 (a driving mishap) which connects to the tragic event, as well as the public not believing his explanation of what actually happened.
But getting back to his seizure, another trigger was the transiting Sun just approaching 27 Taurus in his 4th house (his home) opposing his natal Mars (his head) at 27 Aquarius 50 in his 2nd house. Transiting Pluto at 0 Capricorn 39 R. in his house of hospitals, opposed his progressed Venus at 1 Cancer 46 in his 6th house of illness. Also notice the T-square between his progressed Uranus at 20 Aries 58, approaching progressed Mercury at 21 Aries 32 in the 3rd, and Pluto at 20 Cancer 13 in the 7th, and transiting Jupiter at 22 Capricorn 16 R. in the 1st.
The last trigger to set off the event was the transiting Moon at 28 Libra 38 coming up to square his natal Saturn at 29 Capricorn 49.
No doubt, there will be difficult times ahead for Senator Kennedy in dealing with this serious health issue. Some important future dates that stand out are January 4, 2009 when transiting Jupiter comes up to 29 Capricorn to conjoin his natal Saturn in his 1st house. And following that, transiting Mars comes up to that position on February 3rd of next year.
