FIND OUT WHO YOU ARE

                      RE: AND THE WINNER IS???

NOVEMBER 5, 2008

Now that the election is over, we see that it turned out exactly like I expected and wrote about in my last post. And isn't it interesting that the Saturn - Uranus opposition, which was exact that day, described the situation perfectly. It symbolized the struggle between the continued rule of the older white male (Saturn-McCain), or the triumph of the young and multi-culti (Uranus-change-Obama).

Age was an important issue for many voters, and many were unlikely to vote for McCain because he's over 70, but on the other hand, many were disinclined to vote for Obama because he's half black. However, Uranus won out, and Obama received 62.5 million votes.

Uranus rules the Internet, and he took online politics to new levels. Obama's inspirational appeal and effective campaign organization are credited for his stunning success. However there was another Uranian major factor: smart use of new technology, from record-breaking fundraising to Facebook widgets attracting new supporters and mass texting to keep his backers connected. Obama was far ahead of McCain in Web traffic, social networking and user-generated video; putting him in a class by himself. In other words, he used the tools that helped him find and mobilize new voters. Andrew Rasiej, a leading analyst of online politics, said the Obama campaign "has come the closest to achieving the Holy Grail of politics on the Internet - converting online enthusiasm to offline action."

Uranus rules Obama's ascendant which at 19 Aquarius 35 is his chart ruler. With Neptune only a few degrees past it at 21 Aquarius 28, his idealistic vision for America captured our imagination. He was able to inspire the majority of Americans and give us confidence that under his leadership, we will have a better future. Seeing the spontaneous emotional elation and tears of joy that erupted in Chicago, New York and Washington DC just after the networks announced his victory at 11 PM on Tuesday night was exhilarating.

The US chart I follow, (for the signing of the Articles of Confederation..November 15, 1777..12:46 PM..York Pennsylvania) and wrote about in my last post, with its T-square, describes how shameful the treatment of African Americans has been from the very beginning; putting a stain on our country and incurring some heavy national karma. However, Obama indeed presented the opportunity for us to raise our consciousness by electing him, which we did; allowing us to come closer to fulfilling the promise of this U.S. chart, and our true destiny!
