A few thoughts on what is happening with the election process since Obama's poll numbers have dropped somewhat since the Solar Eclipse on August 1st at 9 Leo 32. This was only 1 degree shy of his Transpluto at 10 Leo 36 in his 6th house. Furthermore the Eclipse triggered his natal Sun at 12 Leo 33 which transiting Mercury conjoined that day at 12 degrees of Leo which went on to oppose his progressed Moon (problems with the women's vote) at 12 Aquarius 26 in his 12 house.

The triple wheel below is for Obama's natal chart on the inside-the middle wheel is for a relocated progressed chart for august 1st- with the outer wheel for the transits then. Even though an Eclipse can work for six months, at the same time he had transiting Venus at 24 Leo 09  conjoining his progressed north node and natal Uranus at 25 Leo 16 in his 7th house which went on to trine his natal political 11th house cusp at 25 Sagittarius 08. At the same time, transiting Transpluto at 28 Leo 10 conjoined his progressed Uranus at 28 Leo 08 and both went on to trine transiting Pluto at 28 Sagittarius 52 R also in the political 11th house. With all of that Leo in play, no wonder the Republicans are comparing Obama to a rock star.

                                                       

And tonight (August 28th) as Obama makes his big speech in Denver, the transiting Sun at 6 Virgo 09 conjoins his natal Pluto at that degree in his 7th house. Hopefully enough security precautions will be in place, but with transiting Venus at 27 Virgo (lots of high tech stuff to further help them organize  going on) conjoining his progressed Sun at that degree on his natal 8th house cusp which go on to trine his progressed Jupiter at 27 Capricorn 29 R in his 12th house then, his appearance should just be the icing on the cake for him! Another observation is that on Election Day the transiting Moon at 1PM in Washington will come up to 27 Capricorn to conjoin Obama's progressed Jupiter at that degree which again reinforces its trine to his progressed Sun.

Another observation on Election Day day is that Barack's progressed relocated ascendant is at 12 Cancer trining Joe Biden's natal Mars at 12 Scorpio which is also the degree of the transiting Sun then. With Biden's four planets in Scorpio, Barack sure has picked the right "attack dog" for himself; especially with his four planets in Leo making getting down and dirty rather distasteful to him. So the plot thickens!

You have to wonder if the fates are against the Republicans, as the storm Gustav is heading right for New Orleans and will hit somewhere near there on Monday. This is when President Bush was supposed to speak at their convention. And after all of his criticism of the way he handled Katrina, if it does hit, he certainly will not be prancing anywhere around Saint Paul; I would think. Already the up and coming Republican star, Mississippi's governor Bobby Jindal has said he will not attend the convention if the storm threatens his state, and it still looks like the storm is aimed directly at hitting New Orleans again. So things sure seem to be getting pretty iffy for the Republicans!
